Prepping for May

So I'm going to be heading out to Vegas with some friends in the end of May for their college graduation. Put some cash online to try and ease the saving up of money by winning a little bit online in the weeks to come. I'll update with progress as soon as good stuff happens...although I shipped a 3.00 PLO freezeout on Carbon this afternoon for $27. lol.

Stud / 8 and Donkaments

Been playing some stud 8 and am up about half a buy in. It's a really fun game.
Also nursing a 5K stack at the first break of a $ 1 tournament. Stacked two players pretty badly first hour. First important hand villain raises 3xBB from LP. I call in the SB with 67ss. Flop is 89T one spade. I check he bets out 150 i raise him to 450. He calls. Turn is 5s so I push my 1100 stack and he snap calls with a 7 for an OESD, it doesn't hit and i double up. Next important hand BB = 50. I open it to 175 in LP with KThh. Flop is T84. I bet 400 into a 400 chip pot. Villain calls. Turn is a brick I push and he calls with 55 for a medium pair. I hold and am up to about 5.5k. Good luck to me the rest of the way.

Results

Finished 4th for 53 dollars, bustout hand was pretty odd. Raise to 4bb from the hijack. I look down at nasty Q6 and push as a resteal, hijack woke up with QQ, gg me. lol. Playing the 9:00 $5 this morning.

Been a while

Played the 20k guarenteed at the Borgata the other day, busted out on a bad play with KK but they should have shipped it to me PF. Final tabled another 4.40, sitting second in chips right now, I'll post results and bustout / final hand tomorrow.

Doing well

Final tabled my third 4.40 / 180 in 3 days, took 2nd today. Grinded it up from 14k stack when the final table started. Got absolutely no resistance until my pair of 9s on the flop was outkicked by one card on the final hand. Can't complain though. Sitting on a 40k stack in the early 3 rebuy, 20k at the first break w/ only rebuying at the start of the tourney, hopefully something good will happen with that, never FT ed that tourney before and it would be huge to do so. Back on Track

Started playing again today. Just busted out of the $ 8.80 NLHE, shouldn't have been in the hand to begin with holding 66 but hey I made a mistake, I do however, have a huge chip lead in a small stakes LHE tourney. Nearing the end so hopefully I cruise to the final table, it's been a hell of a while. Parents should be home from Brittany's bowling tournament soon, hopefully she did well.

Start Your Engines

Parents went to Rutgers with Brittany today. Got $ 120 loaded into my Stars account. Playing the $ 8.80 PLO and $ 5.50 NLHE this morning. We'll see how they go as the PLO starts in a minute. Probably playing the $ 5.50 NLHE at 1 and the $ 3 Rebuy at 2:30. It should be an easy day. I'll keep everyone posted on my results later.

So I love how Pokerstars has this new deal where they allow 99 and 88 ( HORSE ) people to advance to the weekly round 2. I've gotten a couple finishes in this area before so hopefully I can cash one in soon. I'm trying the Jesus experiment so I need to cash in some freerolls to get my bankroll going. I'll keep everyone posted at a later date on how I am doing bankroll wise.

Hey everyone, this is my first post. I'm pretty sure no one will be reading this blog, especially considering I'm barely a winning player and am completely unknown in the poker world. But I just wanted to setup a blog to monitor my progress myself, and maybe one day I will actually win some cash and people will listen to the things I have to say.
